The Scotty Pippens is an electro band from Montreal, Canada - a city known for its music scene, having produced such names as experimental electro musicians David Kistian, Andre Eric Letourneau, Electro funkers Chromeo and not to mention electro DJ Tiga.

A few years ago the Scotty Pippens started to do electro gigs all over the Quebec underground scene. With their fresh sound and amazing live performances they garnered the attention of the music industry and were asked to come to Europe to work with several famous electro producers.

After a leak of their debut single, 'Girl on the Side' on the Internet, The Scotty Pippens were sought after by the Japanese music scene and the track grew to become a huge hit in Japan during the summer of 2009.

Their sound is a blend of Mr.Oizo meets Calvin Harris, Detroit Grand Pubahs and a bit Ron Carroll. Now at the Amsterdam Dance Event, it's time for their first official worldwide release: The Scotty Pippens - Girl on the Side.
