Can start a long, long story about how I started listening to (good) music when I was a little shortie; fell in love with records, turntables & every kind of equipment having knobs while I supposed to play in the sand and all that stuff that almost every aspiring or even renown DJ puts in their bio, but I won't. This whole DJ-thing is ofcourse about loving music & the drive to do somethin' with it, but along with it comes 'bein' in the limelight' ( every DJ has a little bit of blown-up ego in 'em) and -more importantly- some finances. A DJ that says otherwise, don't believe him.
That said, I did a couple of things throughout the years: was a founding member & did beats for Dutch hiphop-crew "The Proov", remixes for diverse artists and went a lotta places national & international as a DJ. These days I try to spread my DJ-time between my own crew called "The Aficionados" (Rey Familia stand up!), my "RiskSoundSystem" membership (devotees to RealHouseMusic) and my ever-growing family from "Wicked Jazz Sounds" (good lookin', we gon' hit in 2008!) Why this many crews? Simple, I hate bein' alone...lol..........
Nah, I don't like to get caught up in one type of music, I love to listen to different shit. On top of that I like hangin' out and workin' with different people, as they all have their own vision and specific qualities. Look out for lots of projects in 2008: Wicked Jazz Sounds 5 (a comp.), the Wicked Jazz Sounds studio-album & RiskSoundSystem's first single "The Sound is Yours" (Legato Records) and various remixes. The Aficionados are also in the lab, no further details @ this moment, but we cookin'... watch out!! PeAce, L.
